After reading about the article it brought up a lot of questions on whether or not pseudonyms should be allowed to be used.  From my point of view there is nothing wrong with wanting to remain anonymous online, people want to have a sense of privacy when online so they will not want to use their actual name when in use of the internet.

Though I believe that it is alright to be able to use a "false identity" online there are times when people will abuse the fact that people on the other side of the screen won't know who you are so you are free to insult or annoy them and because of that there are things like cyber bullying.

When it comes to ethos and choosing a pseudonym it depends on what the person wants others to think of them online, for example there are many people on YouTube who who don't use fakes names or names that have no relation to their actual name.
