Is texting, lolcats, or other forms of online communication harming or improving
people’s ability to communicate in writing or in speech?

Control is defined as having power over someone or something both mentally and physically.However, in today's world what seems to possess the most power and control over people is the media. The media has a major impact in our society because of the increased forms of technology we continue to generate. From our televisions, to our computers, to our cellphones, the media has become an increasing phenomenon. Often, because we are surrounded by the media in our everyday lives, it becomes difficult to differentiate the social world from the real world. With social networking sites like Twitter and Facebook being some of the number one ways we communicate with one another, it has significantly changed the ways we write for the better
