Youtube has seemingly taken over the online world in the past few years. It has so many uses now besides just spreading viral videos. It is used for spreading valuable information about current world events through videos or newscasts. Even things such as the weather or current entertainment scandals are on Youtube. The information on Youtube has such a wide range now.
I find Youtube is very valuable. Many people have become famous by starting on Youtube. Justin Beiber, Gangam Style, Sophia Grace and Rosie, and many many others have become world known simply from having viral videos which started on Youtube.
These days when you need to quickly find out information or visually see something you can turn to youtube.
I agree that youtube is a very important social media tool, and describing how people can become famous is a very good example, because such a large audience is reached from just posting a video online.
ReplyDeleteAlthough I do agree that there is allot of useful information I do also think that many videos on the site can be offensive and that people using the site may be upset. I think its important for Youtube employees to make sure no content being viewed is immoral or offensive.
