Trolls

There are many people who take up the persona of the "internet tough guy" and troll on online communities. They use the replies that they receive from their posts and since they can't be identified on the internet they feel as though they can do anything they want. The reason trolls are so poisonous to the community is not just because they post toxic comments, the blame can also be contributed to the people who "feed the trolls" by arguing with them and then it spirals out of control.

The community I have decided to join is the league of legends forums. there are a lot of subcategories such as discussing the different maps available to play on, item discussions and even categories for fan related and with most online games their is a privacy policy, a terms of use agreement policy and the tribunal which allows users of the game to decide on whether or not someone can be punished for being toxic in the community. the tribunal also has a ranking system to show if the users are not abusing the system to give punishments to people who don't deserve them called the justice system

  1. I feel that this sort of rule based system should be enforced on more blogging sites
